Default WOW! Ebay Remove Unpaid Strike in LESS THAN 0 MINUTES...

Well, a seller was acting like an a**whole and did not want to cancel the transaction since the item did not fit my computer. He opened an unpaid strike on my account, so I decided to email ebay and within less than a minute I received a NICE email from ebay:

Quote:
Thanks for contacting us about the unpaid item recorded on your account.

Our records show this is the first time you've appealed an unpaid item.
Based on this and the information you gave us, we've removed the unpaid
item from your account. Any future unpaid items could affect your
account status, so take a few minutes to learn more about our unpaid
item policy:
Unpaid item policy

If you're having trouble getting in touch with your seller by email,
here's how to request the seller's contact information:
1. Click the "Advanced Search" link at the top of most eBay pages.
2. Under the "Members" section on the left side of the page, click the
"Find contact information" link.
3. Enter the member's user ID and the item number you have in common.

If you sent payment for the item in question, but haven't received it,
consider your options under our buyer protection programs:
Resolution Center - eBay

Here are some tips for success with future transactions:
-- Carefully review each listing. If you have any questions about an
item, be sure to use the "Ask a question" link to ask the seller a
question before you bid or buy.

-- Make sure that you're eligible to purchase the item. If the seller
has any buyer requirements that you don't meet, don't bid on or buy the
item. For example, review the shipping details to make sure you live in
an area the seller is willing to ship to.

-- If you run into technical problems, remember you can access your eBay
account with any computer connected to the Internet and monitor your
bids through My eBay.

To log into My eBay:
1. Click My eBay at the top of any eBay page.
2. On the next page, enter your user ID and password.
3. Click the "Sign In" button.

Thanks for your effort to help resolve this unpaid item.

Sincerely,

eBay
I left the buyer a NICE negative feedback, I emailed him a couple of times asking him to cancel the transaction but he never complied. He was being a JERK and deserved it!

Sorry if I was not clear, I was the buyer. I purchased computer memory but it latter came to my attention that the specific item I had won would not work on my motherboard.

Well you gave him plenty of chances to respond to you so I would imagine the negative was deserved on his part!

Yes, he more than deserved a negative feedback. I told him he could receive ALL of his ebays fees if he were to cancel the transaction. I guess he does not realize the power of buyers on ebay, and within less than a minute the unpaid strike was removed.

Buying memory can be tricky because there's so many types and sizes.... I reckon at the end of the day it is your responsibility to check if its going to fit your moby...

But the seller should have been more forthcoming and helped you resolve the problem, cancel the transaction etc. He's a dumb ass if he refuses to get his fee's back.

Buyers get all the breaks

Damn non-paying buyers!! I can't stand these deadbeats man. At least you contacted the seller to let him know. That's seriously all I ask for bidders that don't pay at least give me a fken reason why you're not paying. I have no problem canceling transactions that haven't gone through, but some non-paying buyers just totally waste your time and you're made to wait for the unpaid item case to close. These buyers I swear are just bidding for fun and not realizing how harmful it is to sellers when they don't pay. Probably get caught in the bidding war and just want to win out of pride or spite. Than you keep trying to contact them with no response, they waste your time and effort. Than you gotta re-list and wait another however many days to sell the item.

This is just a rant...I had too many non-paying buyers this week and I know they aren't going to end up paying because I read their feedback and this isn't the first time they've done this.

Yes, I understand what your trying to say Jamblix. I'm an ebay seller myself and I usually email all my customers which did not pay, I ask them if they want to cancel the transaction or I will have no choice but to open a non-paying bidder.

I bought 4gb of memory on ebay but I later came to find out that the one I bought has high voltage and will not work on my motherboard. I emailed the seller nicely asking to cancel the transaction but he told me he has no choice but to open a non-paying bidder. I talked to him through 3-4 emails but he was just being an ass*ole and did not want to cancel the transaction. Now, he has a taste of his own medicine! Muhahaha...

I would hate you for sure if I'm the one selling the memory. But I wouldn't be such a pain in the arse to force you to pay for it if it doesn't fit your requirement. Hmm, but a negative for this... not too sure because I'm a seller myself. It's a painful lesson learnt for that seller.

Well, I was pretty cheesed by the fact that I received a non-paying bidder strike on my account but luckily ebay removed it within a second....

If the seller had emailed me, explaining how the negative feedback affects him then I would have happily revised the feedback!

that would be nice of you but sometimes, these seller just need to be educate on being not soo much of a hard sellers. I must agree with you that eBay protection for buyers is very powerful. I just felt that being a seller receives little or none protection from eBay.

==================================================
Now that he had a taste of that for a few days === you can still revise that Neg.Fb for that seller :D
Most sellers in software give the buyers a fair Warning to check the Item Very
carefull B4[before] bidding on it !

I wonder , are you more of a buyer than a seller on eBay

yeah i feel the same way..i hate the fact that you cant give a negative feedback to buyers..it makes no sense because buyers could be total A$$holes and most likely nothing will happen to them..

hello. I am new to these forums but glad to have found them.
Recently I was given two negative feedbacks. here are my stories with each.
Both scenarios I opened unpaid item cases.
The first feedback was removed immediately after the unpaid item case was closed. Mo problem. I spent a good deal of time on the phone with ebay and always do when i have a problem with a buyer. I sell real estate on ebay am a land seller and buyer remorse is too common. I could write a book and may.
real estate does not qualify for item relists and ebay does not have this written in any of their little "law" that you read I had to find this out bc it keeps saying I am eligible for relistiing when it doesn't sell. I had a big problem with this buyer and convinced them to credit me the listing fee so i got all my money back and his fb was removed.
Right now I opened a case for another unpaid item. The buyer clicked buy it now for $965 but I also offered it for monthly payments which he opted for a few days later, Then going against my ebay ad he did his due diligence later. he visited the land didnt like it then wanted his $169 back that he sent. I charged $125 for document fee and $44 for first month. I had marked the item paid and left him positive fb too I didn't anticipate any of this. He clearly wrote on ebay message that if you dont pay me my money back I will leave you neg fb which is a violation/extortion. Two ebay employees agreed yet they didnt remove the fb yet. They took it to another level but am not sure why they didnt. His neg fb will be removed after the 4th day i was told this is definite i spoke to a nice guy in Utah and he said it's a general rule after4 days it's gone. he also said ebay is being sued alot and that's part of the reason they are doing this for sellers.:bounce

if i was the seller i would just email ebay to have them remove the feedback since you never paid for the item. if you are the seller and the buyer doesnt pay and they leave feedabck of any kind you can email ebay and they will remove it.

i have done this hundreds of times.

I wish ebay would have done this for me. Because I remember when I was new to ebay and I didnt know how to buy and all that. I had like three unpaid strikes and ebay didnt take not even one away. So i deleted that account and got a new one. problem solved
