Default paypal worry

hi, i have a new ebay account attached to an old 3-4yrs paypal account, im selling some pretty expensive items as i need to by a new car. i'm worried that they will require my id when they see all the money in my paypal account. i have some unpayed bills attached to my name and date of birth. what should i do leave the money in paypal for a while so no flags arise?? please advise

1st question - why do you have a new eb ay account for the old pa yp al account - was there an old eb ay account that was suspended....? Or just never used with eb ay before?

2nd point -Yes you should leave money in Pa yp al until transaction is complete - item is delivered, buyer leaves feedback, etc. BUT since this is a NEW eb ay account, I would not jump into high priced item sales yet.

Need to go slow - all the best.

thanks for the reply, i got mixed up here the paypal account isnt an old one after all it's verified and about 6mnth's old, i have an average memory at the best of times sorry. i did come accross an old paypal account that i never used from ages ago but thats not this one. anyway my ebay account is about 3 weeks old and i let it sit idle for a week and a half. i sold a cheap item this week and now i have listed some expensive hobby items which are about to sell.
just wondering the best way to exact the money without upsetting anyone. paypal is verified. advise is very welcome as i need to buy a car at the end of the month

I see - a bit clearer. Depending on what you are selling, I would do max withdrawals of 200-300 a time to test - don't clear out the pa yp al account. If you have transaction still awaiting transaction then wait for confirmed tracking and feedback, etc.

I wish I could be more specific but pa yp al is not a weird system at times. Whether or not you are fully verified, you can always be open to limitation. Other folx will chime in later with more info.

I am waiting to see how your expensive hobby items sell - please keep the forum updated. I hope you don't get blocked because of the big sales right away.

i just sold an old rc car(im a collector) for $700, the buyer luckily was in australia and a very nice guy to boot!! i got him to break up the payment, 350 into my paypal and the rest into my bank account but im selling another rare car that will almost definatly sell overseas so that will require a big paypal transfer from the winner. we will see hey! ill let it sit in the account for a few weeks

thanks for repling

you are a car collector, why do not you keep the classic car to be a little long ?So this may make your car become a bit more expensiver.

I have found that keeping your money in paypal untill the transaction is fully complete that you wont have many dramas with paypal.

My main products for sale are $200-400ea and i can do anywhere from 2-5 sales per day.

Dsot: has some very good advice about listing slowly
