Is My Account Now Linked To The Dirty One?

Hi Everyone,

So an old account of mine got suspended from selling, not buying.

I set up an account with my gf's real info..Everything is great for last 4 months. Account is doing fantastic.

Today, stupid me, was logged onto the new account and opened a separate window and accidentally logged into the old PayPal account. That account used to be the one used with my old ebay one.

So my question is..Will I get linked because I opened PayPal in a separate window with the old account? Does PayPal and ebay exchange IP info?

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

You should be fine if this is your first time committing such mistake. Just don't do it again.

Does PayPal and ebay share info like ip's of users, etc? I thought I read that they don't do things like that.

Anyone else know if I should be ok or not? Thanks in advance.

eb ay and pa yp al records EVERYTHING - assume that and operate properly. Now, just because you did this one time, does not mean you will punished - odds are low. Just do not repeat.

ooo thats what happen to me i have mine suspended now and i use my gf account on my pc and hers got limited

Did not take them long to connect them.

Get several new accounts up and running.

Sorry to hear this but like Rsot said move on and this time be more careful and have plenty of backups ready to go.

Personally I feel that Ebay and PayPal don't share info like this. IP sharing. Anyone agree?

It's been about a week since I messed up and logged into the PayPal. Everything still going strong.

How long does it typically take if an account gets linked for you to get notified of the linking?

Sorry, I must agree with rsot and iso here. Assume ips are recorded, and since ebay and paypal are pretty much one in the same, I'd go so far as assume they are linked... although VERY minimally. Like others have stated, a one time occurance will not be enough to get the account suspended.

If, however, you were to log into the new account AND the old account over and over and over... it may be a different story.
