The items are 2 older electronics.I have my buying account as my seller account since i do not really sell on ebay, just wanted to unload these items..My buying account has feedback ..

your buying does not really matter if you start selling on ebay. They do put a 21 day hold on funds for new sellers. Your seller account does not kick in untill your first item is sold. What you can do, is ship everything with tracking numbers. Once it shows delivered, you can call paypal and they will release the funds. It takes a feedback raiting of 10 and 90 days of being a seller to have the 21 day hold lifted.

Hope this helps

I was told 20 feedback by a rep in late 2010. Not sure which one is correct. Also really depends on what you are selling. If it is considered a high risk item by eB ay, it can take even more feedback to remove the limit.

In the same boat as you Always. It's eBay not Paypal that issues these holds. As I understand it, there's a 21 day hold for all payments received until you have some "gravitas" ... I'm pretty sure it's 10 feedbacks and 90 days ... although eBay claims the restriction is lifted sometime "mysteriously" between 60 & 90 days. Now here's a surprise: Your funds will NOT be available to ship the items either (which is further proof that Paypal is messed up). HOWEVER, if you call PP they will make a one time "courtesy release" of one payment which is nice ... as long as you swear on your relative's grave that you will absolutely definitely 100% be positive to ship the buyer's item ... go figure!

I recently ran into an issue with this. I had a VCC with 84 cents on it and a PP account with 74 cents available in it and no bank account attached. I had many 2-ounce items to ship (costs $1.58 through USPS with PP shipping).

I bought the shipping for the first item with the PP balance + CC balance ($1.58 EXACTLY!) and waited about 15 minutes. In 15 minutes $1.58 was released into my account and I printed another $1.58 label.... did this about 6 times. So now the balance on my VCC is $0.00 and my PP available balance is $1.58.

I know this information is nothing new, I'm just adding the fact that once you ship your 1st item you're good to go as long as you print shipping slowly.

Thats BS If my Item sells then I will not ship unless I Get my funds. Period.I thought that policy was for multiple items. I have 2 items well under 400 if they go that high. I would not trust pay pal holding my money . They have a rep of shutting you down and i would loose my stuff .I will see what happens but if it goes down that way then i will just not ship. I will just start another ebay buying account and won't ever sell again with that bull****!!

Does anyone know if pp is as big of a #*!@ when not used with an Ebay account at all? I plan on opening a new pp with a vcc and vba and it will NEVER be used with an Ebay account at all. Only using it for Bonanza and maybe Ruby Lane. I don't even plan on using it to shop on Ebay. I am hoping since Ebay isn't there with their whips dictating how we should submit to them that maybe pp that might not be such jerks. Anyone ever done this?

Thanks!

Well, there isn't a 21 day hold and that's about it. They still have no issues holding all your money for 6 months or anything.

Thank you for responding. What kind of excuses do they give you for holding your $$ without ebay dictating the do's and don't's of life?

Because anyone can open a dispute within PayPal on any transaction. But, without eB ay's help, I notice that buyers aren't nearly as aggressive and you also have the option to remove the Pa yP al protection logo from your listings.
