Default Ebay visited my website

So I went to go check on my stats for my website today and I found this

IP: outbound4.ebay.com (216.113.168.128)

Sure enough, I check the whois and it was Ebay! They visited twice for an hour and a half total? Were they looking to buy something or check my stuff? Weird. I sell authentic (yes, actually, really authentic) designer bags.

Very weird.

Maybe someone on their staff was looking for something to do with their shoes.

It's probably Trust and Safety checking you out. I've seen it happen many times before. If you're not suspended right now, you probably don't need to worry about it.

Naw, it was just someone who clicked on your website link from Ebay website. it wasnt ebay, just one of your customers. Check and see how many ebay Ip address you can find.

ITs not Ebay. You probably have links to your site in your auctions etc, and someone surfing Ebay, has clicked on the link and gone to your site. Thats why the address shows a portal from Ebay

If the IP address says, eBay in it... then it could be from eBay. There's a difference in reference and ip.

For example: Your Top Source to fight eBay Evil

This is an interesting website. Take a notice of the outbound4.ebay.com (216.113.168.128). IS this eBay? Emm, you tell me.

Cool Do I need to change my ip when using a laptop on different wireless networks

If i go to the library with my laptop & pick up their internet connection, then lets say I go to school & use their wireless network. Can ebay still track my laptop on all the different networks! If so what can I do???

When you change networks, your Ip address changes.

Just curious, how often does Ebay/Paypal pop up in this forum. This forum is such a value to so many, I would not want to see all of the progress undermined by ebay spies.

Please you dont think Ebay knows all of this. Everytime we find a workaround Ebay changes their security. They read this forum often very often...

If they are from the ebay servers, aspkin could check his logs and block their IPs.

I think it's also possible that either some non employee is tipping them off or that although there's maybe 10 people here who post, there's 1000 who lurk and read and so when a technique is told, everybody starts using it. I don't know if it's different for the pay-only forums.
