Default paypal micropayment system

Hello well i am relatively new to all this ebay and paypal thing [ so just jump and copy what i am saying]

I just came across this paypal micro payment stuff and wondering if we could use this on ebay.I have lot of cheap item like perfume samples costing 1-3 dollar including shipping.I would like to use this micropayment paypal system for selling stuff like that.

But i am wondering how reliable this paypallab is? here is the link
https://micropayments.paypal-labs.com/

Anybody using it for ebay or other sites like facebook for selling very cheap item.Fee looks very much reasonable.

I just want to make sure these things are real and reliable.Anybody suing it here already?

Please do update when you can. This seems pretty legit, especially for subscription products.

just got this email from paypal

Dear XXXXXXXXX XXXXx

Thanks for applying for micropayment pricing. We’ve finished processing your request and have changed your pricing to the micropayment rate. The new pricing will be applied to any payments you receive, regardless of the transaction size.

Confusing. Thought it said the limit was $10 per transaction?

No, $10 (the actual figure is $9.40ish) and under are transactions where you'll save money. Anything above that and having a micropayments account will cost you more.

You can have a normal (business/premier) account as well as a micropayments account.

Although like eBay you'll need a new email for it and you can't use the same bank account/credit card etc.

Idea of that is to use the micropayments on buy it nows under $9.40 (and auctions that'll make less than that) and your standard PP account on transactions above.

Yeah this is legit its been out for a long time, saw it a couple years back. If you only get small payments then its a good idea but otherwise its just a hassle since anything bigger then like $15 will cost you more money.

What paypal charge you for international transactions? They charge indians .30+%4 .So make profit even for selling $15 item on ebay usa.

regular rate
for $15 {.30+%4 }= 0.90

Micropayment rate
5 C+ %5 = 0.80
