Default PAYMATE denied my account

I tried opening an account with paymate but was denied. This is what they wrote back.

Dear #### #######,
Thank you for your interest in a merchant account. Regretfully, we are unable to approve your application for payment processing services at this time, because your account did not pass our mandatory risk assessment.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Note: Due to security reasons we cannot provide detailed information in regards to denied accounts.

Thank you,
David Cheng

Do not put email addresses on the forum.

paymate must have thought you did not meet their requirements.
Did you submit a business plan and are your items unusual?

At first paymate accepted everyone, but now they do credit checks.

Do you have to supply real information or your ebay information to register for paymate?

You have to supply your real information. They actually use the Discover Network for the actual processing of the transactions. They will run your credit.

You must enter your real info if you want to use paymate, otherwise it'll just be a waste of time on your part @stillconfused

Thanks guys, I did use my real info and I'm glad I did as they credit and debit your bank account to verify you.

I wonder since now they require info in order to approve you, can you still apply with each stealth account using the same info?

Should still be possible to use it with stealth accounts if you could do this in the past, but i wouldn't recommend it since they do a credit check.

Paymate might not share information with ebay, but they sure do know what you are doing with your accounts. You need 10 selling feedback history in order to use Paymate, so i ⊗⊗⊗⊗d alot of the feedback, and the guy knew that i did it, he called me on the phone, and we talked for awhile. After a long conversation he told me that he'll let me slide with a $500 monthly limit until i get TRUE selling history, then he'd lift it.

Yeah lol, this was before I knew about this site, and just did things without thinking. After each auction ended, i would leave feedback asap lol, but the guy was pretty cool about it, i was shocked he gave me a $500 limit, because if he didn't i would be doomed since i couldn't use pp.

Just thought I'd add this message I found just now while checking "old mail" back from Nov 2011, which stated that they will no longer be requiring credit checks, so if people are interested you might be able to give registration another try, or if anyone here has tried since Dec 2011-May 2012 let us know the update...........

Hi Red X,

Yes, as of today we do still do credit checks. We're moving to a new model with our bank that does not require credit checks, but it will be at least 2 weeks before it will go into effect. Please check back with us. Thanks.

Greg
