EBay soars on outlook, profit
The online auction house says net profit jumped 52 percent and outlook will be on the high end of analysts' forecasts.


SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -- Online auction leader eBay Inc. reported Wednesday quarterly results that beat Wall Street expectations and said its outlook for the rest of the year would be at the high end of analysts' predictions.

EBay posted a 52 percent jump in net profit on a 27 percent revenue rise, led by growth in its core auctions business and the rising prominence of international sales.

I read an article were Ebay base they outlook and profit for their investors to the number of new sellers and new listings that sign up everyday.???Hummm Now that brings me to this...

The reason that they have so many new sellers and listings is because they are suspending people everyday for bull**** and OH; don't let me forget about all the fradualant listings that goes on when a user account is "hijacked"..lol

I think I finally know the conspiracy behind ebay now...

oh, so they are suspending sellers just to get an increase in their net profit and thus increase in stock prices?

maybe if less suspended sellers stop trying to get back on Ebay that will really hurt ebay.

Thats right..When suspending users sign up again , thats another new account for ebay in the books...

So they can say, we had an increase in new accounts and that will make there stock go up! It's all business.

Also there stock has been on the rise lately
