Default possible address goldmine

i know one step in getting a new account to get on e bay is having a new address. i recently talked to an employee of the usps and a great friend of mine, and she said as long as there is a mailbox or receptacle for the mail to go in that is all that s needed to receive that mail.

i live on a country road so i know my carrier very well. i told him that my mother wanted to receive her own mail in her own box and he said no problem as long as there is a box and the name and address to match on it they will deliver the mail.

my mother does not live with me and never has touched a computer but i think this will work, plus my mailbox is on another road other than my address

so instead of 123 red drive it will be 124 black road (as an example)

might be something to look into

I like it but I live in the suburbs, sux for me, do you actually receive mail @ the new address or do you just use it online? Also I think they use gps to figure out if the address you use is legit when you sign up for seller acct.

I would say they simply use an up to date address database, if they did use something to check that addresses are legit.

What sort of GPS system do you think they would use?

why couldnt you just give an neighbors address that lives by you. say 2-3 doors down. If something comes up in their mail or a package comes back just tell them that the address must have gotten mixed up when typing. wouldnt that work? I know its not ideal but it should work right?

This would get old after a while though "say that the address must have gotten mixed up when typing", how many returns could you have?

Here are a few reasons I can think of why people can't/don't use their neighbours:

- You may live in the wilderness, not by any other houses :D
- Your neighbours may hate you.
- They may not want you always having mail delivered to their address and have to go pick it up from the sorting office.
- Some people may find it strange asking and explaining the reason why they want to use their address! "I'm banned off e Bay"
- Their are probably more...anyone?.......they may work for e bay

p.s. mine is the second one just like a lot of other peoples!

The only reason I mentioned it is that I have had 1 package come back in 2 years now. Even then they asked where I wanted it sent back to . I told them my real address. That is the only piece of mail that I have gotten at all. In my case I could use the elderly couple 3 doors down and they wouldnt be the wiser.

Just think it could work for someone somewhere. Stealth is about getting the job done without our own information.

Yeah if you have very few returns then the idea has much more mileage than if you were getting returns regularly.

Elderly couples works very good but shame on you
