Subject: FPA NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - User Agreement - Abusing eBay - ************* Received: Jan-24
From: eBay

eBay sent this message to ************.
Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay. Learn more.
FPA NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - User Agreement - Abusing eBay - ***********

Dear ****************

We're sorry to tell you that your eBay account was suspended because recent account activity has raised serious security concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay Community.

You can appeal this suspension. If, after reviewing your appeal, we're confident that this activity poses no risk to the Community, we'll be happy to reinstate your account. For information about how to appeal this suspension, please go to:

Unfortunately, during the suspension you won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.

Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

eBay Trust & Safety

Subject: Notification of Limited Account Access OMARCP (KMM281069294V93203L0KM) Received: Jan-24-08
From: eBay Customer Support Expires: Feb-23-08

January 24, 2008

Dear ************,

As part of our efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for the
online community, we regularly screen account activity. While reviewing
your PayPal and eBay accounts, we observed activity that we would like
to further verify. For this reason, limitations have been placed on
your account(s) until we are able to gather some additional information
from you.

In order to resolve the account limitations, please complete the
following steps:

1. Log into your PayPal account
2. Click on the "My Account" tab
3. Click on the sub-tab "Resolution Center"
4. Go to the "Action" column
5. Click on the "Resolve" button and complete the requested steps on
each lifting requirement outlined.

After we have gathered the necessary information, your account will be
reviewed for reinstatement and you will be notified by e-mail of our
decision. Please note that any sellers fees owed to eBay may become due
and payable. Any outstanding amounts owed will be debited from the
billing method on file unless previously disputed.

We thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and apologize for
any inconvenience.

Very Sincerely,

Account Review Department

I got one of these dreaded letters about 10 days ago and said F it. The ebay account owed $2k in seller fees, about $300 in the PP account that they were asking for more info on. I refunded everyone I could from PP...wasn't really out much other than time because most was from the day before and I hadn't gotten to the PO yet.

The FPA Notice from ebay is newly worded from last week anyhow..'
Alittle different verbage from the standard abusing...
---Most IMportant Question-- You dont have to Answer--BUT--
ONLY YOU know what you were/were not doing that aroused their suspicion???
--Maybe Veros? Shilling? Based upon that- only you would know if its worth trying to revive the acct.. + if you have the docs to back it up?
--Any suspension from ebay will then result in a faxing in of the appeal letter signed, with your drivers license + utility bill..+ BESIDES whatever PP wants..

Don't bother with the SSN and all that other crap.. It's not worth it, and even if they did reinstate you by some miracle they'd still be on your ass all the time in the future.

I agree. The time that you spend trying to save the account would be better off setting up new ones and educationg yourself...too many stories here about people jumping through all of the hoops only to never be reinstated.

The FPA is my second favorite. I prefer the INS suspension notice.

You could try letting Paypal know you don't feel safe giving out your SS#, and giving them other requested information instead. It's worked several times with other members.
