Default Where do you find most bad feedback comes from?

I find most bad feedback doesn't come from customers who are unsatisfied as they usually leave positive feedback with bad comments, no feedback at all, or at most neutrals.

I find most bad feedback, especially negatives comes from just BS. When I say BS I mean BS exactly like how VERO is BS. Non paying bidders who bid to cause trouble and leave negatives.

While sometimes negs come from people who after a long time don't communicate, even more even if a buyer is causing lots of trouble and requires me to spend hours a day communicating and working out their problems (which are usually problems paying or else they ask mountains of questions before they get the product) that their thanks is giving me negative feedback. Anyone else have that experience?

Or it's people who say they didn't receive their product and I give them tracking and it says notice left to pick up and instead of picking it up they just immediately respond to the email to say "oh I wasted $12" and leave me bad feedback.

Should I communicate with problematic buyers less often and do you think that will help? Problematic buyers are more likely to neg the more I communicate with them but I am unsure if that is actual cause.

i can't stand when a dumbass buyer complains to me that they never received their product, and i supply the tracking number that proves it was delivered, and they still leave a negative. then i tell them they didn't purchase the insurance that was offered, and maybe it is at your post office. i had one guy refuse to go check at the post office, then he left me negative. i would love to drive to their freekin house and just smash some of their faces in! some buyers can be real *******s. i think what causes the most negatives for though is lack of communication. i sell adult material and these pron addicts want to know where their porn is, and if they don't get it soon they are gonna be pissed!!

When I think a buyer is going to cause me trouble I don't ship the item, I know it is hard to know before hand, but there are usually warning signs. Last one was a guy telling me stuff like, pack it this way and send it with tracking, send it to my home address. I just got a bad feeling because of his low feedback, and he had a few problems with other sellers in his recent past.
It is the usually the people you try to bend over backwards for that wind up causing problems. When the item doesn't arrive in a week or so they are like, "where's my package?" I tell then it must have gotten lost and I refund their payment immediately, while I look into the matter. Never here from them again and had never had one leave a neg.

HI- You know what-- over the years, for me anyhow..
--On the 99 cent auctions, the $1, $3, $4 buyers are the MOST Complainers.
The ones who pay the full price are satisfied.
-- I had to eat alot of crow to keep my 100%.
--I even let them get over on me, just to keep the score, But I'm an obsessive person..
__ Ive encountered the buyers who even send me empty envelopes back, with my tracking!
---So, I guess were always gonna get em...
-- The ones that really get me, though are the ones who leave the neg,+
dont even give you the chance to make it right... IF theres such a thing??
-- How many out there have Literally PAID the Buyers to TAKE your items off your hands???
(Thats what we end up doing when its a 99 cent item, you refund, le them keep the item) ++++ you STILL get a Neg!!

But the other stuff you said and what sycore said about buyers making you bend over backwards sounds like even if you do communicate, if they are bad people they will leave negatives anyway.

I've been thinking if a buyer is causing trouble that sometimes less communication actually solves things.

So maybe the not answering pre-auction questions helps. Please see this thread:

Most of any negative I have received is from buyers who expected something for nothing and or expected a pot of gold item and wanted to steal it from me.

The last neggy I got was from someone who bought something for 190.00 and when he got it he said he did his research and it is only worth 35.00 and he wanted to send it back. Sure he did the research, after the fact.

Buyers need to research any and all items before they bid, simple.

One other neg I got was a lady said the pink color was softer then she thought? OMG, give me a break now they are using the color wheel on sellers.
