20K and received the letter from paypal ?

Hello All,
Right now my name on my paypal account is bogus. So when paypal asks for my ssn, I will have to provide them I guess. The ssn will not march with the name on file.
What can we do about that ?
I am expecting paypal to send me the ssn request anytime now.

Any ideas ?

been trying to get an answer to this for weeks now. I am in the same boat.

Can we use the EIN instead with a different name or can we use a similar name when filing with the IRS, like middle and last name. IN my case it would be the same as the name on the stealth account I have.

But with a SSN does paypal know its not the same name or do they even care? As long as its not associated with a suspended acount that is.

How about creating a new paypal account and using that new account with our ebay account.
The new paypal will have my real name... They really shouldn't be able to track it down just by the name.
For example if my name was michael brown... ( There are thousands of michael browns out there...)

Maybe we can get away with using our real name on the account.

That is what I would like to do but there are a couple posts with just that question and everyone posted "DONT TRY IT" so I dont know.

If anyone has done this with no problems please mention it on here. This is a problem that need fixed. I really dont see ANY issue with just changing your paypal address with ebay.

soon this forum will be flooded with post about the 20k problem since people are getting close to it mid year.
