Activity: 0% Longevity: 75% | | Need help: Ebay wants me to contact them to verify info on stealth account
Just as the title says. I set up a stealth and verified the paypal account. I tried to list a few auctions last night and ebay told me that they wanted me to contact them to verify the account.
What questions might they ask? I know I read that it might/will be random but I want to be as fully prepared as possible.
About me:
I am using virgin mobile phone number.
I am in the US.

It usually is random, meaning no one can give you an exact correct answer. If you do not call the account will be a waste, so calling is worth a shot, just call, and have all of the information you signed up with handy. Since the questions are random you will have to guess, and give them the answer that comes to mind. Worth a shot, what do you have to lose?

When you say you "tried to list a few auctions", how fast did you start selling? What was your feedback?

Red X: thanks so much for your help! I failed though and now I will have to use photoshop LOL
RSOT: I made the account around 8 days before I started to list. I did it at night for 3 auctions. I guess with that combo, it set up major red flags |

What questions did they ask you? How did you fail?

I was supposed to do that to, but chickened out. Did they give you any reason why it failed? Has anyone had to do this and if so, what are some of the questions they asked you? I'm horrible at this stuff! My voice cracks and I sound nervous. I suck at lying. Always got caught when I was a kid, still suck at it as an adult. Yikes! If I call I'll have to drink an adult beverage first. lol

Any addresses sound familiar

I past but It got shut down I suspect from a rat
I opened another account & listed 5 $25 items & got the verify message in 1 day. This time I called, the first thing they asked me to do was fax id,bills...
I pressed X67 on my phone to make it provate, can they still read my number

DO NOT press *67 when calling a 800 number....It does not work
Also You should buy the Stealth Book if you have not. All you need is separate user names...and IPs not new pc's.
Not just those two but also everything the Stealth Book tells you to use.

Thanks for that. Glad I dont have to get new pc because then I really would be screwed. I want to buy the Stealth Book but just dont have the cash right now. I invested every dime I have to inventory & now no where to sell it...
I still have my paypal (for now) just cant keep an account open long enough to sell anything.
Do you think a pay phone would work to verify? One more thing, I know I shouldnt link paypal but would it be safe to just say im going to pay ebay fees just to get it open & then remove the link.

sounds like you keep adding you eb accounts to this one pp you talk about,
HUGE MISTAKE
if your eb account is suspended and it was linked to that pp,you cant open another eb and add it to that same pp as they will just link you to the old suspended account,
then BOOM! suspended again!
get the stealth ebook, its well worth the money, you will soon learn the ins and outs and be able to open and run a successful eb account

Seems like everyone is getting hit with dreaded ID verification...
My question is what phone do you call them from if the original number is a forwarding number?

Sorry I was kinda out of the loop for a bit, but I gave up on that account.
Come to find out, the name I used ACTUALLY was a child there underage with a similar name and the rep asked me multiple choice questions on the CHILD and not the person I made up... Sounds kind of illegal of him to ask that but, meh.
Caught me off guard to say the least, but I have moved on had now have fully functioning stealth accounts that I am filling with some feedback.
And congrats Newjerseymax!
