Question Returning Package bought from Dhgate

Hello, I bought a lot on Dhgate and recieved the package several days ago. However , I was very disappointed with the item because it was completely unusable and different from description. I contacted the seller and he agreed to give me a refund after he has recieved my return package. For some reason he also told me to use cheaper shipping (USPS) but not more expensive shippers. I am just a little worried that after I return the item and the seller recieves it, he will scam me and not give me a refund. Should I make a claim to Dhgate right now? Because I'm also afraid that there is a time period where I can make a claim to DHgate and I miss it since the shipping takes a while. Has anyone dealt with Dhgate returns, or have been in a similar scenario as me before? Thanks in advance.

Common problem with many suppliers on DHGate. Mostly new suppliers with no feedback or selling history.

Always open a claim straight away.

I have not used DHGate in a while. Can't remember if it offered some sort of escrow service with buyer protection. Does it?

If so, then open the case through DHGate based on item being different from listing description and send back via tracked delivery.

Research the DHGate Buyer Protection before making your first move though!

Yeah Dhgate does offer "buyer protection," but whether or not they really stand up to its words 100% is unknown lol. I hope all goes well I get my full refund back! =)

DHgate is full of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and copied items. A lot of them are bad quality.

A lot of them are very very poor quality and you will only usually find this out when you receive the item. Their are also many high quality replicas, when I used to use DHGate and thought some suppliers may have been selling genuine. I did find some very good suppliers of what I thought were genuine items, that is how good they were.

Another thing I noticed was that a lot of suppliers appeared to be the same supplier or other suppliers that had been removed from DHGate, just registering under a new name.

banduck....heed my words!

forget dhgate,full of sh/t heads

go to tradekey.com,type in wat you want, click the button which allows you to see the top sellers at the top of the list,it goes on trust points(like feedback)

you will get the best most trust worthy companys at the top of the list

then it will give you contact info, website, company name, what goods they offer etc

then go direct to there website!

i found a top company on tk,im still with them today, ive got a great business relationship with them and im glad i went to tk instead of taking risks on dhgate

pm me if you need any help

good mate, just had a quick look at the ones teedon was talking about but they dont come close to tk imo

thing is though i just used it to find suppliers, then id just go to there website and deal direct with them,

so the ones i just looked at may be better if you want to deal through a 3rd party which could be more secure,

but tk gives you the best of the best at the top of the search results,my personal exp with tradekey has been good, you can sell on there aswell

check it out dudes & dude`ettes

Alibaba and Globalsource are very big sites, very popular. I have used Alibaba a lot in the past and it is the best one I have used to be honest. I think it is actually the largest online B2B site.

tradekey is great imo but like ive said the others could be better in other areas

alibaba is another one yeah,i think it all depends on what you want from your experience

what did you use alibaba for then? just to find suppliers and go direct or did you use as a 3rd party?

Is tradekey a list of Chinese suppliers with ⊗⊗⊗⊗? Or are they legit and supply genuine products?
Also where are the majority or some of the good ones located?

Thanks.

tk is a world trade site of all kind of goods,

here have a look Business To Business (b2b) Marketplace - Manufacturers Directory For International Trade Leads

loads of china ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods suppliers too

good thing is you can separate the top suppliers from the crap suppliers

Nice would you trust the sellers that say they sell "original" iphones and are located in China?

^ You need to find different sources for branded originals, you will get burnt if you start buying thinking they are actually selling genuine.

Yeah, I've actually research already after I asked. Even those that seem legit are actually scams. Especially those that are paid members can be scammers.
Not sure if seller points proves anything, but I guess even those with thousands of seller points and long term member ship paid or not can be scammers.

Always File a dispute unless you are dealing with a long term supplier which you trust.
Dhgate is great and stand behind buyer protection 100%.I have had many disputes and won them all. Most sellers are honest, stick with the ones with lots of feedback and you should be fine

A;ibaba is high risk and not so easy to understand at the beginning trade points are purchased by your subscription level. My company is listed there I have not sold anything but i have 10 points (included with membership.
Dhgate protects you and you can actually read the buyers experiences.
Dhgate is an escrow unless you approve the shipment the seller does not get paid.NOt many room for scammers that way
YOU CONTROL THE TRANSACTION from beginning to end

Alibaba sucks - I lost 50k a few years ago from so many scammers. Maybe its changed now I hope, but looking at the alibaba forums there are still alot of scammers going on from the ones who say they just got scammed!
