Your seller performance is below standard under the US seller performance standards program.

We'd like to help you improve your selling performance, so that you can avoid limits and continue to list at the same volume.

Based on your ratings, we recommend you focus on writing better item descriptions for your listings, and charging reasonable shipping and handling.

Writing better item descriptions for your listings
Buyers rely on the information in your listing description to decide whether and how much to bid or buy. To better manage their expectations:
- Write simple and clear descriptions, with no misleading or conflicting information.
- Use original rather than stock photos.
- Provide details regarding the condition of the item, fully explaining any defects or flaws.

Charging reasonable shipping and handling
In today's online market, buyers expect to pay actual shipping costs or to get free shipping.
To meet buyers' expectations:

I had a quick read of your other posts. It seems you are really making an effort to keep ebay/paypal from giving you troubles. Good work

As regards this email, it is serious. Why? ebay are keeping who they like as sellers regardless of an account not having disputes etc.

Lowered dsrs, high shipping make ebay react with such emails.

They might not be well-founded in the seller's mind. But since ebay thinks so, changes are needed.
Become best friend with your Seller's dashboard.
Check your postage: lower them, give free postage
Check quality of photos: professional or home made
Consider the actual layout. Accurate precise & appealing.
earn stellar feedback

If any of the above would benefit change, then that is what you do.
Account is flagged. Make improvements, show ebay. Go on selling

Start selling some low end stuff with free shipping as a mix to your normal sales.

Free shipping is an automatic 5.00, if you pay the postage through PP they can see you have been quick off the mark (you still have 24 hours to get it in the post) that's 2 out of 4. That only leaves description and communication - over to you on those 2

hi

i received one of those - i wasnt selling professionally though at that time and disregarded it. 6 mth later - banned, even though I had recently changed selling strategy and was doing my upmost to please buyers - i just didnt do it early enough, was just below their standards mark.

Work your ass off to please everybody and you should save the account.

Good advise NAHB - the game has changed over the last few months and we all need to run our businesses in a much more professional manner. The old slapstick days (and I was one of the worst) are long gone and aint coming back

My account was banned this morning. Only 10 hours after I received this email. I think it is because I continued to list items at the same shipping rate.

So,,,


What is worse,,is that i received a same email on my second account just now.. so I have to end all lists I have on this account.

FYI, both of those two accounts are just above 100 fb, i think 100 fb is a threshold. I didnt receive any warnings like this on my other account under 100fb.

if that the case - they were watching for your reccommended changes when you listed, that is one serious condition they have coded into their system.
10 Hours later - i got 6 months to make a change (they stated it as: there will be a new set of selling standards set in the beginning of May that will apply to international sales ... you do not currently meet our min standards...) but I was only selling used items at the time, it may also depend on your product category, i don't know.
