Default Strange behavior of buyers

So I'm selling on one of my stealth accounts that has a 10 item 2k limit. I reach the item limit and decide to send out some second chance offers.

Sounds like a good idea right? WRONG! I receive back 4 responses from 4 different buyers thinking that because I sent out the second chance offers, that the main buyer backed out and they should receive the goods for ridiculously low offers that have nothing to do with the price I sent for the second chance!

Some have even accused me of using accounts to bid up the price, ignoring the fact that bidders have hundreds if not thousands of feedbacks. Not a series of no feedback ID's.

Has anyone else ran into issues like these trying to send out second chance offers?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Hi!

It has happened to me too...my advice is that buyers who are complaining NOW--> may cause problems down the road--> cancel there 2nd chance offer...to be on the safe side...

regards

Come to think about it, I agree. I have since canceled them. More trouble than it is worth. I'm trying to remain under the radar as it is. I saw the suggestion to send them out after reading about it in other threads.

Second chance does work but you have a bunch of buyers that are causing a nuisance - also depends on product.

I use merchant account and the idiot buyer did not want to pay...so I relist the item and BAM the same person buys it again...I email the buyer and ask why did u buy the item again when u have not paid for the 1st one...and the msg I get is that:

"I am sorry, I just figured it out how to pay..."

My response===> BS===> Liar! I ain't getting screwed by u...thats two non paying strikes for you...I ain't taking the chance for negative feedback..

Sellers--> play safe but be aggressive...buyers already have us by our nuts with the negative feedbacks...

Nice post, lollypop101.

However change the last sentence thus:

Sellers---> play safe but be ASSERTIVE.

(I dont have nuts for buyers to hold. That can stand though the being held to ransom-ha)

I'd say 50% of my second chance offers are from sellers that shill bid their own item. Just my experience.

More and more buyers are becoming aware that they can push sellers around.

I try to go out of my way to keep them all happy but I am finding out there are some it just wont work on.

I actually got a message from one recently who told me the shade or color of the item was off on my computer and does not match her decor and wants to send it back. So I said go ahead no problem as long as you pay to ship it back. When I get it I will gladly refund your money.

Then came the I wont pay for the shipping and I want 10.00 for my time and trouble with the gas prices to drive it back to the post office and she wanted the return shipping to be paid.

I told her to keep the item as a gift and returned her original money and she still demanded that I owe her money for her time.

Some people you just cannot make happy no matter what but we can try the best we can.

Thats messed up to hear. I have always used 2nd chance offers on about 50% of my items. I even email customers direct and get 20% more sales that way. Never had a problem.. I guess niches are the way to sell though.

I have competitors but block them when I find them.

Best movie ever, BTW, the Mike Damone 5 point plan was the most awsome advice ever for scoring with chicks.....

Mike Damone: First of all Rat, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

LOL! @ ^^^^

I haven't seen Fast Times in years but the look on that kids face when he learned his Damon hero's method was priceless...:D
poor guy had to hit on a ton of women before finally scoring

I read customers go into Phoebe Cates's Hollywood boutique and say "You know, you look like Phoebe Cates" she responds "I get that alot"

There is also valuable customer service advice in the movie too.

Threatening to punch out your customers may feel good at the moment, but can get you in trouble.

Yeah and after the attempt at flirting fails and you can't have sex with a real humanoid. Please lock the door to the bathroom when you masturbate instead,

10 year old zombie thread. That's gotta be some kind of record there. And even worse, the person you are responding to has been banned for 7 years.
