Default How do I know if I already used a specific S.S. number in paypal?

I have a couple different paypal accounts all of which are linked to suspended ebay accounts. I was thinking of making another one with my brother and we're not sure if we used his S.S. # or not. We want to to make another paypal with under my dads name with his S.S. But we are unsure if we already used it, should I just try to make a paypal account like this, just a different adress? Then I will make an ebay account, im just afraid im going to go through all this work and hes going to put in his SS and it will already be used. Any idea? thanks I know that using ebay without a SS is a big pain.

The ideas I have are not what you want to hear.

You are going about this the wrong way.

Why would you want to put an SSN all over paypal accounts?

Why not correctly create an account where you may not need to supply one.

If you are serious about selling on ebay it is worth it. But if not....

We need a sticky telling people to stop using family or friends personal information.

It is not a good idea to use someone in your families SSN, personal info, address etc as if it goes down you just might find you have an enemy you do not want if they ever want to use it themselves.

Far too may ways to go without using a family or friends info and putting yourself and your family or friends at risk.

Not worth even attempting it.

Beside if you use his SS number and you get banned and leave a bill it will show up on his credit report because you can them to ammo they needed to send the collectors right to him.

One reason why researching on here and buying the book helps.

You need to keep all the info for each account handy and separate from each other so this doesnt happen. I think you are going to be out of luck on this one unless you know which one it is and just call them.

@Sandy D, while your comment about "We need a sticky telling people to stop using family or friends personal information." is a true one - why a sticky? Searching shows a LOT of posts about it - any sticky like this can go in subscriber's section NOT in open forum.

If ppl on this site want to mess around with family and friend's info without reading a lot of the experienced posts around...well, tough luck =(

Wish the OP all the best on the endeavours but as GB, Sandy and Kingray have stated - the purpose of stealth is to keep your stuff out of the books.

All the best.

I can't help thinking of the saying " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" - when we go off half cocked without having all the information at our right hand we obviously make mistakes.

The problem is so many people who come here see the guide as some shark trying to rip them off rather than what it is and so don't buy it.

They then take the snippets of information they find in the thread and are unable to link them into a DNA thread - result? - linked, banned, frustrated, upset and time wasted.

So be it
