Default Becoming a business seller?

Okay,so I know its better and safer to create numerous e bay accounts and spread sales over each account but just as a matter of interest how hard is it to actually become a business seller?

I've been monitoring a business seller from the day they opened their e bay account and straight off the bat they were listing 20+ Vero items(Clothing to be specific).

Anyway, due to business sellers being allowed to sell 100 items on average a month they reached 50 feedback very quickly and every item sold was vero.

I calculated £1300+ they received in the 1st month but checked it out today and the account was suspended.

It would seem that it was relatively easy for this ebayer to create a quick and dirty e bay account where they could sell all their vero and then move on once suspended.

So how exactly does one become a business seller without e bay asking for any info on what that person is going to sell? I would have suspected e bay to be very interested in what someone is going to sell when trying to upgrade to a business account but is this no the case?

What exactly does e bay ask for when someone is trying to upgrade to a business account? Is is just a series of questions or do they go real in depth and ask for supplier info etc.?

It all depends on what type of items you are selling really

Just today I've seen a seller with 2000+ feedbacks selling Of fice 2010 Pro copies for a bit over the 100$ mark. He also sells hardware among other things. Might be legit copies, however when you go to his feedback and try to click on the "View Item" to see the description of the item sold, it gives an error and says: "This listing (xxxxxxxxxxxx) has been removed, or this item is not available"

Those are positive feedbacks he received for the Of fice 2010 copies in the past few days.

What gives? It's intriguing.

I just looked at his account, and he doesn't seem to have any items listed right now, which is odd. Additionally when you click on the Auctiva Scrolling Gallery, all items seem to error as well.

I'm gonna keep on eye on him, see what happens. But his account with over 4k of feedback, had lots of sales with his hardware so I bet he was doing very good, why would he compromise it? Damn.

Sometimes when the balance sheets are not looking so good then people do desperate things. I suspect he got away with this for a while, but possibly his greed and carelessness got the best of him and his account.

Ok guys but how exactly do you become a business seller from a personal seller?

Is there a list of questions ebay ask and if they are satisfied with your responses they allow you to become one?

And any tips if i was to try it with a relatively new account(2 months old + 10+ feedback)?

Pre '06 account, was selling hardware only until 3 months ago when he changed to software only almost. He must have sold about 500-800 copies in 3 months.

Impressive
