Default Use Paypal before setting up merchant account

I am trying to get my feet wet with this whole setting up new accounts thing. I think I need to just jump in and get going and just start learning from my mistakes. I just have a few more questions before I get started.

Do you recommend having a paypal account and taking a few orders with that before you try and get a merchant account verified?

It seems like a big red flag would go up when a "newbie" is trying to setup a merchant account. I guess with there new policies it doesnt look quit as obvious tho.

don't try to click on the merchant processor , just try to say it in the description
and when the auction is finished, try to send an invoice to the buyer from ebay and from your merchant account asking him to pay you via your merchant .
some buyers agree to pay like this.

oh alright. That is good news.

So that one guy verifying these merchant accounts makes it pretty easy on us I take it.
Is there a way to use CCNOW or authorize.net without having to fax that stuff in?

Save yourself the pain of suspension. READ as many threads here on this forum.
There are people here who have been there, done that. Jump in if you must but
you will go down. Your choice: do your own thing or follow advice. This advice
works.

I have been studying this forum for about 3 weeks. I have not missed a day. It is on the border of becoming an addiction :D

I am pretty sure my account is not coming back so I am going to start creating account. I just want to use a merchant account b/c paypal is such a hassle.
When they have you fax in the merchant info you would think that would be a red flag for a newbie. I can see them asking themselves
Why is this new guy trying to use a merchant account right from the get go.

Just leave Paypal alone and take the Paypal pacifier out your mouth. You will be so much better off I promise!
