Exclamation Pay pal payment request as service or for goods.

Just need some advise on non-ebay payment transactions for goods.

Is it safer for the seller to request a payment as 'goods' or 'services'.
Im assuming you can get screwed over either way due to a scammy buyer filing a claim, but which is easier to win??

Thanks.

Have them send as gift or payment owed. Then all they can do to scam you is a chargeback if they used a credit card or bank account to pay you.

That did not answer my question, only an idiot would pay as gift.

Definitely as "service", it is described on many forums too... Personal or gift will put You under flag very fast.

I send payments as service all the time or I'll request money, depends on which account I'm in at the time, doesn't seem to matter really since I've done it literally 100's of times never had a problem except once on an account less than 30 days old that recieved more than $500, you gotta be careful on the new ones.

Could a scammy buyer open any detrimental claims on a service payment??

Listen, use paypal and anything can happen. Sad but true. Also, dont be an idiot and assume yourself. To use paypal you got to know them. 1st rule is never trust them . 2nd rule is take it with a grain of salt some of the advice you get.

This is something I repeat: it's not 'you' who is the problem. It's the other party & paypal. Know your enemy before you make a deal. Best way to work

We've had a whole range of payment methods disputed... someone can chat paypal, lie and a seller loses.
