Credit Card Processing

Hello,

We have a web site and we want to save credit card infos and whenever the customer wants our service we will charge customer manually. There won't be any payment page on the website. We will collect the card numbers and will charge manually.

What do you suggest me?

Only thing you can do is consider a phone cc processor.

I have also a website which provides package forwarding services from United States to Turkey and soon US to UK.

In our way of working automated cc processing systems is a headache for customers because we offer consalidation on packages. The calculation is %90 wrong when it is.

On the other hand I just wanted to collect your ideas for this system if you don't want you don't have to reply.

@GTran - no no when you can avoid pa yp al, you should at all costs - you know that =)

@Hakan, it really has to do with how you worded your initial posting - and I understand, it's really no biggie.

Some company has to process your CC orders so you will need a processor. Customers - in general - feel MUCH safer when you have a well-established internet company processing credit cards rather than just some random site (sorry but tis the truth!)

That's where pa yp al comes in - alternatively, you could try Ale rtp ay, Mon eyboo kers, CCN ow...just other suggestions.

Unless you are a Fortune 500 company or some supercompany with VERY SOLID Net reviews, don't tell your customers to just send their cc info - you will have a LOT of backlash.

Also, you could speak to your bank and get merchant processing solutions.

Some "scammer" you call eb and az ha - we knowingly use their services - appreciate the sites and work around their obstacles. Except of course for the folx who have lost their money permanently - I feel for you folx and am in the same bind on a few accounts.

They built up their reputations, monopolized a market, then changed all of their Terms of Service to funnel in billions of dollars of innocent money. More than enough money to manipulate heads of power to protect them from any lawsuits that would come of such changes.

They are scammers through and through and no mask they could create will ever hide that. We do the best we can to circumvent the issues only because they monopolized this market as soon as the internet was created, when it WAS an innocent place and no one had any clue what was to come of it.

Do you already have the credit card processor or merchant? If so, you could still make a payment page where they enter in their cc details and information. Make sure its SSL and professionally done. THen have the cc data stored in some sort of secure format, that you can read. But please do yourself a favor and remove the cc data off the server very frequently, like once every hour, even if its only 1 credit card. Or you can use what scam sites and scam emails like a bank, paypal, ebay scam page and just have the cc info emailed to you using a formmail script. But still. Make sure it doesnt stay on the email server. Store it on an encrypted flash drive that isnt connected to any network.

Anyway, after they enter their info and press submit, make sure the next page is a Thank You page. Have it say something along the lines of "Thank you for your order. Your order is being processed. You will receive an email shortly confirming your order."

Then you manually process the cc info. If its approved, send them an approval email. If its declined, send them a declined card email, ask them to contact their bank and respond back to you within 72 hours or the order will be cancelled.

This help at all? Or am I just talking out of my ass?

(CIM) Customer information manager is your solution! authorized.net has these feature once your customer enters their credit card info it will be saved on Authorized.net servers u can then charge/refund your customers card anytime u want.

I think you guys forget what OP said-she does not want to have a page on her website for customer to enter cc information,she want to do it offline .and save that cc data.
If you have a stall or shop in a co-op or antique mall,you can use the mall ;s merchant account to process your customer order.It usually have a swipe machine somewhere in the mall.
Or take a look at propay,

You can not save cc data offline like that unless you are PCI complaint.
Doing so is against the law.
You need to be PCI complaint and they will crush you if you think about storing cc data offline to use later if you are not PCI complaint.

Hey there, how are you processing cards manually??? What system are you using?? I know a way of collecting cc in an ssl secured page, for legitimate legal business of course ..
