Start low, then work up.

I've been too nice to business partners in the past and it bit me in the a*s. I do not recommend 50/50 unless he is truly doing as much work as you. Think about who has the upper hand in actually making the profits happen.

Think about what it is worth to you. I have a view that a pound is made round to go round and everyone has to have their share.

As an example if I had a deal with you and you made money and I didn't I would only do that deal once and would not feel charitable towards you

If I made money and you didn't then you would only do the deal once and not feel charitable towards me

You are looking for that happy medium where everyone is happy

I charge 15% of the sale price when I sell for someone. If I was doing more work I would probably charge more. I take the view that for the seller 85% of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing

You are making 300% profit and I assume putting all the money up - what do you think you should offer?

You are going to get what you pay for. If you don't want much from a person, don't pay them much. If you want an active partner, someone who cares, be generous so they will stay.

If you can't build a website and have no way of collecting proceeds on a commodity product, you don't want to know what a reasonable split should be.

Fix those 2 easy problems and as Confusius said, "ALL MINE."

I'm a little confused. If you found project partners on this forum why are you not partners now?

I fully understand a lot of the problems Chinese sellers have as one of my clients is based in China and we are now working together on two projects.

So I ask my question again. If you had project partners before, and I'm assuming it was mutually profitable, why can you not work with them now?

PM me if you would prefer
