Default $20,000/200 transaction Question

Just a quick question..

The 200 transactions, how are those counted? In other words, if 1 buyer pays me in 1 payment for 5 things, does this count as 1 transaction or as 5?

Any help is appreciated.

i do believe it counts as 1 as you would have 1 transaction id.

It is the Paypal transaction that counts, not what happens on the eBay side, apparently.

Thanks for the info both of you. Got the email to add tax id information but no freeze. Went over 150 transactions and sit around 16k. Just a heads up I guess?

How did you come up with 16k did you add up each months payments? I assume refunds don't reduce the amounts you received

Dont go by wha the auction site says at all. Go to paypal and download the monthly sales reports and go by that. That is what matters, not what ebay or anyone else says.

Many people forget about the shipping costs of 200 transactions as well. Sometimes that alone will put you over the top if you were a couple thousand off.

Plus you also may forget how fast the "side" invoices added up. I did mine on an account and saw that I had 7k in just sales directly to paypal from side deals, etc. Then shipping was over 2k alone.

Just keep an eye on it from the paypal side only.

You really shouldnt even have to mess with it or worry about it if you were claiming it all as you should be anyway.

There are ways to be stealthy and go over the 20k with no problems. You just cant keep avoiding the T word though if you do it.

If you have more than one payment option that will help to not hit the limit
