200/$20k Limit??

I have a account that is a top rated seller and has been open for about 8 months now.

Been selling slow and got it up to 10k in sells in the past 8 months.

So my question is are they more lenient toward top rated sellers about the 200 transactions $20K paypal limit or is it the same for everybody? That once you get close to the 200 trans and $20K paypal will ask for ssn.

How can they be lenient? It's the law. Paypal has to comply with the law. The notices are just that, notices. You can keep selling till the 20k/200 limit is hit, then you must supply a ssn/ein. Same for everyone.

The last poster is correct. PLus make sure you check your sales total on paypal and not ebay. Ebay has nothing to do with the 20k total.

What about using a different paypal account once you get close to the limit?

depends on how you do it. YOu will probably need to do a completely different stealth account for both. Why are you trying to not hit the 20k mark?

Because its a stealth account.

I was just wondering if i could because my items do really good on this account because its top rated.

Earn money.
Pay taxes.

Use paypal and fit in with their requirements for reporting to IRS.

See an accountant for the best workaround. Options exist.
