Smile Hi everyone

Hi Everyone,
I guess you know why I'm here. I was deemed "suspicious" by Paypal and Ebay today, and banned from my accounts. The funny thing is, it was because of Paypal that I seemed suspicious! I was a seller from 2004-2006 and sold over 700 items, all were positive experiences except for 1, and she had a feedback of 4 and was an idiot. Anyway, it truly was the hardest work I'd ever done, and I really never thought I'd sell anything again. My son owns his own business and got a great deal on 20 TMobile phones. I told him I'd sell them for him. Being gone for 3 years, I knew nothing about the really cool new seller feature in Paypal where they hold your buyers money for an undetermined amount of time, while telling you to SHIP ITEM IMMEDIATELY. LOL!

So, I was on the phone with the Paypal morons for about 2 hours making sure the buyers got their refunds. Then to get credited on the phones that I sold (but didn't really sell), I was on the phone with Ebay to be credited for my fees. The Ebay guy, however, was not a moron. He was extremely helpful, and towards the end of our convo, he said "You are a nice lady, and I will tell you of a workaround to your prob-lim" (That's how he said it) He said I should invoice my buyers through Paypal, take the Ebay "pay now" button off my listings, and then the money would be in my account as it should be! It worked! Whee!! Now I didn't have to look like a scammer to my buyers, I could get paid, everyone would be happy. I sold 2 phones last night and 1 this morning. I transfered $300 last night and 270 this morning. (Was this my suspicious activity?)

Anyway, both transactions showed as "Completed" at 11 a.m. At around 5 p.m. today, I go to Paypal and it has the limited access thing, then Ebay the same thing. LOSERS! I hate them! It's none of their business what kind of deals we make with OUR buyers! No one was complaining! Paypal gets paid BY US to provide a money exchange service. WHO do they think they are? They decide cases based on NOTHING, and take our money. Then they say their "investigation is completed." I had talked to several of my buyers on the phone, everyone was happy. I love how Ebay doesn't ALLOW you to speak with your buyers in the messages too. Last night I was just talking with this guy about stuff and they put a stop to that! Their lame message "You have already responded to this question". UGH. Anyway, here are my questions if anyone knows:

What is happening with my listings? When people are bidding, or when they go to my stuff, does it say "WARNING...SUSPICIOUS SELLER!" or what? Can I still send my nice buyers their phones? Will my transfers still go into my bank? When the money gets there can Paypal steal it from my account? They want me to provide invoices, etc. no thanks, don't have any and don't care! It's none of their business unless a buyer complains! I am worried about them stealing from my bank account though, and I would like the money so I can send the buyers their stuff. Well, I'm anxious to hear what you guys know. Nice to meet you all too! Julie

P.S. While I was being locked out of my accounts, I was mesmerized reading eBay Stealth! LOL!

poyzindrink (cool login),

Welcome.

Lotsa questions you have. Most of them have been covered in detail but the threads are scattered around the place. Playing hide-and-get-lucky with you.

21 day hold is standard. The ebay guy who gave you the 'tip' was either not very bright or was having fun at your expense. Invoicing buyers had been determined by PP to be circumvention of their security measures.

Short answers to some of your concerns:

If you are comfortable that your buyers won't stiff you by SNAD or other disputes, you can ship. Your money will remain on hold for a bit, before you can transfer to your bank, though.

PP can and sometimes DOES reverse funds transfers afterward. If money has been moved to the bank then withdrawn from that bank and PP reverses, you may get NSF fees.

More details can be found by reading threads on similar topics.
