restricted eBay account after Too many PayPal refunds =
To make a long story short, I've had problems with a shipment of about 60 packages that were all sent the same day to the same country. Basically they were lost somewhere in the postal system and I contacted the buyers asking them if they wanted a refund or the item shipped again. About 45 wanted them re-shipped, while 15 wanted a refund. So I went to process the refunds on PayPal and 2 days later, I get an email from PayPal saying that my account had been "full restricted" because of low buyer satisfaction. Now, you might think that it was because low DSRs or something like that. Nope ...
The account is a Top-Rated-seller, with extremely high DSRs (all 4.80-4.90), not a single negative or even neutral in 3 years, not even a single revised feedback. And ...you guessed it, not even a single 1 or 2 star rating - EVER.
So the only reason for the restriction could be the 15 refunds, which makes sense, since it happened 2 days before. Now, eBay sent me an email that says that they also monitor disputes or claims when they calculate buyer satisfaction ...but refunds? No, they don't mention that.
The full restriction will probably last 12 months. I don't care but it seems ridiculous that they would suspend an account for being a good seller and giving the buyers their refunds just because the postal service lost the mail bag.
