Question Risks Reduction Selling as 'Service' for dSLR outside eBay?

I have a buyer that I was dealing with that wants to buy my dSLR. He has 118 feedbacks and is a photo equipment dealer. My spider senses are tingling when he said to send him the Paypal money request and ship ASAP. So I would assume this is outside of eBay. Profits would be enormous without eBay final value fees.

Is the major risk a charge back? Can I reduce that risk by invoicing him as a Service? I remember reading somewhere that billing as a "service" makes it more difficult to demand money back for item not as described... etc.

Email him OUTSIDE OF EBAY EMAIL. And tell him to send you the money as "payment owed". If he really does want it and isnt a scammer he will do this. If he is trying to pull a fast one, then just ignore it. If its too good to be true, most of the time it is.

Thanks for the advice. Does "payment owed" protect me in any way?

edit: I Google it. Looks like the closest thing to cash they have available.

In this kind of instance, I would really try to establish phone contact to make sure he is not scamming you. Always risk vs. reward analysis.
