Default U.S. Zip Code - certainly

Hello,
Today I have to send a package to a buyer in USA.
Usually American zip codes are as follows, example:94103

But in this particular case of the purchaser's got me like this:94103-4244

Mail is the second row of digits? (4244)

Or just take the first:94103

The first five digits 94103 is the zip code. The second four digits are not needed for them to receive the parcel.

Its what is called zip+4. Something the PO uses to help sorting. Dont worry about it. More than likely as soon as you hit enter it will auto-fill anyway. I have never used the +4 on anything

the last 4 digits are the house in perticular so someones zipcode could be 11111-0000 where 0000 identifies exactly which house it is to the post office hope that helps

not true. the +4 has something to do with routing to a general area of a grid. makes it easier to figure out what truck to put it on for delivery

Another google searched answer to get a post quota for the day.

I guess my useless post here would seem to fit the bill as well though. sorry.
