Default Buyer sent two payments

A buyer gave PP two payments for the same item.
They requested a return of one of them so I did.
I didn't know you could do that without a money request or something.
How is that done?

If you saw this, to keep your customer happy and build brownie points (if they hadnt already noticed) click the refund button in PP?

To be honest with you its so poorly written its quite hard to understand what your asking..ive read it 5/6 times and still cant understand.

What he is saying is that a buyer paid him twice by accident and they took the funds out of his account without sending him/her an email or something. He/she did not know paypal could do that.

Sad, but true paypal can do alot more. :(

I guess I'll try again. Buyer paid me twice. In PP there are two payments that are identical. Buyer emails me that they paid twice by mistake. I in turn refund one of the payments.

My question was: How can someone pay twice for the same PP transaction?

I didn't know you could do that over and over again.

I didn't get a money request for the second payment so I was asking how that is done.

possibly an error when processing payment - they thought it hadnt been successful at first, then paid again - (pressed the back button)?

or they paid via pp not throught eb?
