Default Caught out by 21 day hold: another unhappy seller

in brief:


over 700+ positive feedback in over 8+ years
1 negative in the last 2 years
4.7 + on all my dashboard ratings


overnight, on Halloween, a 21 day hold was placed on my account.

WHY, you ask?

because 25 of my customers did not leave me positive feedback


this is the ONLY explanation I got from someone in Paypal after a solid 40 hours of phone conversation...but that one poor supervisor could not send me a link to a page that outlines this threshold/parameter.


that's right, the lack of action on the part of others restricts my cash flow!!!???!!!???!!!

is there any particular forum here anyone can direct me to for a course of action?

I'm aware of base etiquette, though not sure if, this is a "venting arena", if the language won't be a bit colorful.

that can't hurt my feelings, as I don't have any feelings.

eb/pp are known for this kind of attitude - am az on is even worse.

Any chance reporting them to the BBB would help?

I read somewhere it is illegal for them to hold money for more than 10 days

UPDATES:

well, I've whittled down the legendary "list of 300" down to about 20-25 that still work, have learned a little Paypal lingo in the process (I actually got to talk to a SUPERVISOR OF THE SUPERVISORS (or, lemming #3 up the chain) from:

India > Supervisor of person in India > this person


in brief:

-Lorraine did confirm that I did not meet the threshold of having "25 positive feedbacks in a 6 month period" (like, what if you only sell 20 per 6 months...that'd be pretty hard to meet)

-Lorraine did say that she would send me a Paypal link showing me these parameters, either on the Ebay or Paypal site

-Lorraine did say that she would email my buyer who wants a $400 refund as I have not mailed him the items, as I do not have the money


15 minutes passed, and no email showed up (we're going on 25 minutes now...c'mon Lori, GET IT TOGETHER ALREADY)


so, after 15m, I filed a $1350 (the $400 chargeback plus the $950 they are still holding) complaint with the BBB, and I am going to contact both of my Senators and my Congressman here this afternoon if I do not hear a response....there are advantages to living in Alaska!!!!


still no email from Lorraine...hmmmm, I WAS smart enough to ask for her employee #, and she's SO cool that hers is only 4 digits instead of 5....could it be a TELEPHONE extension, perhaps?????

anyhow kids, stay tuned, I can ASSURE YOU that they messed with the wrong box of rocks on this one!
