Default Who really are these 0, -1 feedback nolifes!

Ok so i was selling a pair of shoes the other day started the listing at .99c listed for 3 days, day 1 and two go by everythings great then I log on the last day with one hour to go and see the current bid is for 122 dollors and the current highest bidder is a 0 feedback buyer(Nothing more frusterating to see 3 other legit bidders who were willing to pay over $100). I usually hate to see a 0 feedback buyer at the end of an auction but usually if you set the buyer requirements They turn out to be alright allot of times even paying instantly to show they are legit. This no life loser however kept beating everyone out and after it was over within a hour his feedback turned from 0 to -1!!! ebay even sent an allert a couple hours before the auction was over warning me that the buyer may be suspicious but didnt bother removing his damn bid like they usually do, I also saw after looking at his -1 feedback that he did the same thing to someone else who was selling shoes as well. This isnt the first time its happened tho I had to learn a frusterating lesson after auctioning 3 laptops at the same time and all 3 were attacked by 0 feedback and none registered users trying to drive the price through the roof, it was like a war or somthing everytime i cancel a bid they show up with a altered or completely different name minutes later and do the same thing I just figured these were just kids or no life loosers with nothing better to do (wich they are) but I am starting to think now these are nothing more than competitors making these accounts to screw your auction up therefore eleminating competition on any simular auctions they may have up at the same time. The shoes seem almost to much of a coinsodence seeing as that the buyer did the same thing before plus there were not allot of that same pair i had up. and Im not talking about the 0 feedback guy who thinks he will have the money by friday and then changes his mind after the auction, these asses seem to be intent on driving it up as high as possible often times with another account to help it go to rediculous prices. If these are not competitors doing this I would absoloutly love to know the point of it seeing as though its not like they would make money or gain anything from it by just screwing up a auction. I didnt get too mad though because i can only blame myself I always usually set the buyer requirements but somtimes it just slips my mind, Still If anyone knows or has any Idea what the purpouse or point of this is please let me know!

Yep, it happens. Nope, you can't do anything about it.

I had someone win 3 of my auctions, bidding well past the actual value of the item and then when I sent him the invoice he got angry at me and said that he never agreed to purchase anything.

Yes, it is easy to stop them. All you do is manually remove their bid and block them in the last few minutes and then let the auction finish naturally. Or You can even end the auction manually and sell it to the high bidder then. It would be easy for ebay to stop these deadbeats. Yahoo used to let you set then number of positive feedback they needed to bid on your stuff up to +5. But then Ebay couldn't charge you the fees and wait 7 days before refunding. Ebay just blocks -1 and lower, which is worthless.

you should see how hard it is to sell a car on ebay. i few years ago i sold my 95 mustang on ebay. i had to relist it 3 times, because 0 feedback bidders were winning it for a crazy amount of money too. and it was probably other guys bidding on mine, because they were selling their mustang the same week. but what do you do? at the last minute cancel all bids placed from that 0 bidder? greed takes over sometimes and you take a chance and see if that zero guy is gonna pay that crazy amount the item was bid up to. oh well. live and learn.

With two items we list, we say no bidding unless your fb is 5. If you are
genuine/interested contact us and see what we can work out.

are you kidding? do you really expect buyers to read your description? you must be out of your mind to ask such a huge request from these people!! LOL!! i wish ebay would alow sellers to block buyers with less than 5 feedbacks. that would too convenient for sellers though.

I find if you get a lot of 0 FB, they are real buyers. They sometimes are good customers.

A competitor can come along on a 0 feedback account to neg you but that takes time and there's lots of competitors so they likely won't do it very often.
