Default selling on ebay

I have been trying to find a profitable items to sell on ebay and I have noticed that it's getting harder and harder to find products to sell that are real authentic and that are profitable to sell on ebay.

I was looking with some suppliers to try and sell MP3 and Mp4 players
1GB-4GB storage and I was suprised when I found out that the profits are so small that it's not worth selling them at all and makes me wonder how some people that sell them make any money after ebay fees.

I have spoken to some local sellers that sell same item and they say that their profits are just a couple of dollars per item on average $3.00 dollars per item.

Do you think it is worth all this time that we spend trying to sell on ebay and with the quantity we can sell a month before our accounts get suspended that it is worth all the work unless you can sell a large amount of items a months then every dollar counts and it then adds up.

What are your opinions on that.

HI:
An Idea, Trying the Pallet Loads of discontinued mdse.. You can get an entire 40 foot Trailer of Merchandise,
Odd lots/ discontinued/ lots never accepted by Major Dept stores,, for approx. $5,800--this will last you a year, and 2 pallets, when sold, you got your 5800 back, now you have 16 pallets left )

--They have Mens Suits/ Appliances/ Stationery/ Kidsw CLothes/ Sofas/ Tools
Try : Surplus Actions.net, also Surplus Lots, also Pallet Lots fro sale..
Good Luck )

thank you for your fast reply.

I'm from Australia but I will try to find thse here and see how I go.

It just amazes me that people are selling for such a small profit and are willing to go thru all this hassle with ebay for that small profit.

that was my point

Every item i have ever sold on eBay makes me from $70-$200 profit, and they are cheap for me to buy ($50 1pc not wholesale price including shipping). $3 not worth my time.

HI:
IF "I": cannot DOUBLE the price, I do not even bother with it. period.
Youve gotta factor in so many things that eat up your time..
I like to have my money back in the first 60 days, then after that, its all profit..
--Usually, for a large buy, I use my line of credit at the bank, then i resolve myself to make say $2,000/mo, paybacks, no matter what the min pyt is, this way, I'm getting great credit ref from my bank, and my credit is freed up to buy again, if another great deal comes along..

I understand where your all coming from.

Maybe because I'm new to this and still learning but when I have a look at all of those suppliers of goods then I compare them with the prices they are sold on ebay then I see that they are not making a large profit at all.

I see some electronics selling for about $7 dollars per item in profit and the item to purchase is somemetimes over $100 dollars to purchase.

In my opinion I'm not going to invest 10 000 dollars to buy 100 items and then sell them in the next 3 months to make a profit of 700 dollars.

I know there are many items that are profitable but they are getting ahrder to find.

Unless you sell counterfit items that are very cheap to purchase and then when you sell them they make you some money.

Some people will do anything for a few bucks. I know a lot of people from China, my old suppliers that were very happy with small profits. Competing with people like that is hard. The more competition there is the smaller your profits will be. You just have to find your niche, and make as much money from it while you can before it becomes too saturated. I like ebayhateluv's ideas, listen to her, she knows what she's talking about.

Good luck

I wholesale nintendo wiis, so get in touch with me, but if you are a member of this forum, then that means you have a new account *your old one is axed*, so selling high end electronics like this would probably get you suspended again.
