Is a paypal account linked to ebay automatically, or do you have to link it yourself?

Let me explain...

I have a paypal account, that I once used to accept a payment on an ebay account. It wasn't LINKED to that ebay account, I had just entered my paypal email address in the payments section when making the ebay listing.

That ebay account is banned and no longer. Does that mean the paypal account is banned by ebay too? As I said, I hadn't linked them both together, but does that not make a difference? Will Ebay and Paypal link them anyway?

You should be safe to use it. Just remember to drop the old email address in the PayPal account.

Hmm, I would be CAREFUL. I simply USED my paypal account on one account, which then got suspended.

I used it on 2 future ebay accounts, didn't link, just used, and they both got suspended as well. (This was before I was aware the two linked).

Just a word of warning there.
