Could this be a scam? Shipping to an APO?

The winner of an auction for my PS3 gave me an APO address because he says he is stationed in Iraq. The guy seems legit but the address is unconfirmed on Paypal, he then sent me a $1 dollar payment from his confirmed addresss just to show me he had a confirmed addresss, basically I want to know could this be a scam sending item to an APO? I am still kind of weary and need some kind of answer before I send this PS3 off. Thanks to anyone who can help.

i have shipped to apos many times. never had a problem. the only problem though is that the address is uncomfirmed, and if there is a claim then paypal will not cover you.

APOs are good; I sold to lots of military. They're mostly stationed in Japan, Germany, Guam, and Iraq. I sometimes ask for their military email address to confirm they are really military. Only military have the .mil address.
