Default Should we have a paypal a/c setup before listing?

I just wanted to double check what I am going to do is on the right track.....

I am going to use ccnow to process all the payments. But in the auction, I do tell people that I accept paypal and the paypal email address (not estabilished yet) is listed in the auction. Am I doing it right? I did turn off the checkout icon in seller preference. Should I open up a new paypal account now? Thanks.

i think if you turn off the checkout the buyers can't pay through the paypal link. then you would have to send out you ccnow invoices with the paypal link. i'm not sure why you would want to set up a paypal account if you are going to use ccnow though.

Checkout is always on if you offer Paypal in your listings...even if you uncheck the box..

Ebay would not let me submit the listing without a paypal email address. I tried already so I was forced to put a non-estabilished paypal email address.

Since I didn't fax the merchant a/c info to ebay, I thought I needed to put my paypal address. Pls correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks. I've read this thread. I guess I will need to fax the merchant account info to ebay to avoid using paypal.

i have listed items with paypal allowed, then after they were listed i went to my seller preferences and turned off the checkout. no one was able to pay through paypal then. the problem is though that no one paid at all. so i guess it kind of backfired on me.
