Thank you for writing eBay in regard to appealing your category
restriction. First off I wanted to congratulate you on how well you have
been doing so far. I know you recently registered as a seller on eBay
since March 2011. We are happy to have you as a seller on our site and
really appreciate the efforts you have put forth to establish a positive
selling history and provide exceptional customer service to your buyers.
This shows us your dedication to be a great seller which in return
provides good buying experiences for our community.
We don’t dictate to members what they can and cannot sell on our site
unless it violates our Prohibited items policy or there is a concern
that the item may be a risk to our community. As a seller, you’re
ultimately responsible for the legality of any item you offer for sale
on eBay.
Knowing the rules and policies on eBay can help you become a more
successful seller. Before listing your item, make sure you read,
understand, and regularly check our policies. We also recommend you have
an understanding of all applicable laws and regulations on the
particular item you wish to sale. This can help you avoid potential
issues down the road.
We recommend reviewing the following policies prior to listing your next
item.
Knowing the rules for sellers:

Creating legally compliant listings:

Making sure your item is authentic:

If at any time you are unsure about the legality of an item or whether
or not an item may violate eBay policy, we recommend that you do not
list it at all. Listing items that are in violation can, in some cases,
lead to item removals, account restrictions, or even account
suspensions.
We value you as a seller and hope to work with you in order to establish
a strong selling account and successful business relationship. It is in
our best interest to help our sellers succeed so that we can have a
positive trading environment and minimize bad buying experiences on the
site.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to build a positive
selling history on eBay and to follow all selling policies. You can also
monitor your performance in your seller dashboard to ensure that you are
maintaining your excellent service to buyers, and keeping your account
in good standing.
Again, we appreciate your contribution to the community. Unfortunately
we will not be able to remove the selling restriction today. We look
forward to building a successful relationship with you on eBay and wish
you the best of luck with your auctions.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Beau
