Default selling used cell phones on ebay

Here is my problem, I got banned on eBay over three years ago. I am doing very successful on Amazon but I want to get back into eBay. I buy and resell used cell phones, iPods, and other electronics from Craigslist. I want to move my business from Amazon to eBay, I sell probably 100+ used electronics a month.

Do you have any tips to help me get started out?

Like how many accounts should I use for 100+ items?

id start with at least 5 stealth accounts. you have to realize too that you cant just start out selling this stuff, you will have to start out slow and build up to it. make sure your descriptions leave no room for the imagination.

It depends more on how much money you're taking in rather then how many items you're selling. You can sell 100+ items a month on a single account if they are inexpensive. I doubt that's the case for electronics though. Just make sure however many accounts you decide to go with don't take in more then $2000 per month and you should be OK.

Take good pictures of what you're selling too and get the Stealth Book if you haven't already lots of good info there in starting out.

Be ready though, ebay does not like craigslist and when the day comes for documents they wont accept "I buy from craigslist"... Make invoices ahead of time and be prepared when it comes time for documents that you can provide something solid.

Also, you might want to consider getting lots of accounts and blend in a few other products.

First concern (and please notice the others have commented as well) is Craiglist.

High risk items will require invoices. paypal are a given to ask.

Strongly consider 5 or more stealth accounts.

S p r e a d sales. Mix items and hope for the best

You are going to need more then 5 accounts to sell this type of item.
Especially if you want to sell 100 items per month.

New accounts are getting on average 10 items limit.

And you want to mix in some household type stuff anyway so be prepared to do what the others said of mixing items in that are not cell phones.

You are buying off CL which many people do and re sell on ebay which many do so you will have some heavy competition in this area.

Do not list a cell phone as your first item on an account either. List a piece of yard sale crap to get started.

Don't forget to put a lot of information about the phones, many pictures from all angles, and make sure people know they are not new, you would be surprised as people out of convenience don't see very important information. Might want to put "USED" in giant font so people can't miss it.

Good luck on your en-devour.

@newjerseymax & Greenbean Great advice I am going to create invoices for every account I make, thanks for the advice .

@Sandy D, There really isn't that much compititon as you would imagine for buying used electronics for resell. Well, at least in my town. Usually people only buy broken iPhones to fix and resell. I buy used working ones, very good business. I usually buy 5 cell phones per a day, and 1-3 iPods a day and I average $30 to $70 bucks per a piece. If you know how to do it, I would highly recommend doing it.

I meant the competition on ebay selling them.

I stopped in a local pawn shop to see what they had and even the dang pawn shops now have a glass case with "Look what we have currently listed on ebay" and it is all phones, ipods and ipads etc.
