Default Buying $4300. of items in 1 day - to empty PayPal account - didn't get limited!

Like the title says, all in 1 day! I bought the items at Newegg.com. The Paypal account I used is from 2006 and was a "dormant" account, never used it much. I'm still surprised how it's not frozen. I basically went through 4k in one day without getting limited. I'm giving a little time before I drain it all. I was paid by a buyer, but before I bought anything I purchased shipping for the item I sold him. Not bad for 1 day.

Hm really? I had about $300 in an account, tried to spend $150 of it and they locked it up. That was a long time ago, though.

Yeah, same here. I've had accounts where I only try to spend a few hundred and they get locked immediately, this is why I was shocked that my account wasn't frozen.

Actually, the great thing u did was spend it at a corporate site like Newegg...if u had spent the money buying things on ebay then those sellers wouldve gotten their accounts limited for sure. I feel bad for u in a way because u had $4300 that is actually yours and u should be able to withdraw it if you want but you're forced to spend it on stuff...unless u wanted to do that in the first place.

I had to spend it on some stuff for the buyer anyways, most of it actually. No biggie. If all the money was for me I would have tried to move it to my bank or buy some giftcards.

When you buy from a company like newegg, do they ship only to the confirmed paypal (bogus) address or can you give them a different address?

I usually pay with a credit card through Newegg. But yes they are wary about it going to the same address as it's billed to.

I've purchased items on my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Paypal account, sent to a different address. Newegg didn't say anything about it. Although this only works for Paypal from what I've seen.

I thought "buyer" accounts were sort of immune from freezes as long as they don't withdraw the money but use whatever payments they receive to purchase stuff at paypal merchants. However spending $4300 should have automatically limited your acct no matter what.
