Default accepting £1200 outside out ebay payment.

hi
i need your opinion
i have to accept a payment for £1200.
it is outside of ebay payment for paypal.
shall i create the invoice for £1200 to be paid in full
or create 2 - 3 invoice to that about for example £600 then £600 a day later
how should it be done.

As long as you are prepared to pay Paypal their 3.4% you MIGHT be OK. Split it into payments over a week unless it's a really solid account that has accepted payments before - to them it looks like you are doing laundry

i had the same thing happen to me
i split the $1400 payment into 3. All went well at first but 2 weeks later when i tried to buy something with this money they limited the account and ALL the payments going in and out.

Bank transfer? Very safe method for you, no risk of charge-backs.

Of course that's as long as long as your buyer agrees to it .

Actually I had the same question but slightly different. What if I use new pp account as the payment method for other marketplaces (not eb)? Will PP limit/ask for docs even if payment is not for an eb item?

Not 100% WILL but they can...especially if your item is still looked at as high risk. Chances seem lower than using it for eb payment however.

oh, ok, good to know. Yeah I think I keep the pp account to eb for now.
