eBay removes entire listing because of 1 bad bidder out of 9 bidders?

I just got the following message from eBay. Doesn't it seem absurd that eBay would remove my listing just because one bidder's account was accessed? There were 9 people bidding on this item. This is just getting ridiculous:

The results of the following listing(s) have been cancelled due to bidding activity that took place without the account owner's authorization:


XXXXXXXXXXXXX



We have cancelled the listing(s) to maintain the integrity of the eBay site, your account, and the bidder?s account that was accessed. We are working to restore the bidding account to its rightful owner, and we are working with the account owner to prevent any additional unauthorized activity. Since the account owner did not initiate these bids, all fees resulting from the listings in question will be credited to your account within 7 days. If you do not see the credits posted to your account after 7 days, please feel free to contact us through ?Contact Us? in our Help section.

Yeah, right. No apology that the other bidders wonder wth happened? ebay still
get another lot of fees if you relist and they say they are acting with integrity?

i had the same thing happened to me today. I think it might be competitors doing something shady. Like bid on your item and then report that they never bidded before.

why they can't just remove the bids....... ebay doesent make much sense.

The greatest joke is that ebay says it removes the item in the fairness of the
spirit of ebay.

Oh yes, that automated email your system sends every nanosecond when they remove a bid. Working WITH? I think they mean working AGAINST (for both parties involved).

Ha Ha Ha and how do they suggest you do this, by telepathic methods as email or phone is impossible.

I had this happen to me several times, all in the last few minutes of the auctioning closing and the item being sold. Typically at times when the items needed to be sold quickly.
