I assume they bill you depending on when you setup a seller's account so when is the best time to setup so you can avoid a bill till maybe a month later instead of like 2 weeks.

You first make a seller account and then see when your invoice comes do on the "seller account" part in "my ebay". I found this sort of matches up based on when you make the account and not when you start selling on it. You don't have to sell anything first, just go through the "sell your item form" and then don't submit.

Based on my several account from before they all got suspended (those with my real info) billing is done same day of month you sign up. They first invoice you, then several days charge you automatically.

Like 5 days later? They'll tell you your account will be billed no later than "date"..

Thus, if you created an account on 10th, and you intend not to pay fees, I'm assuming it be a good idea to stop selling on it on the 5th, get all the money out, close PayPal, remove credit card and bank account info, etc..

Hello, all. Long time lurker. Here's the deal with eBay billing dates (post-Nov.2007, that's when it changed, with everything else). Your billing date is based on when your BUYER account was opened. Unlike in the past, the date your SELLER account was opened does not matter. If you open your BUYER account from the 1st through the 15th, your SELLER account billing date will be the 15th of the month. If you open your BUYER account from the 16th through the last day of the month, your SELLER account billing date will be the last day of the month. If you don't believe be, check 'em! Remember, accounts older than November are not like this. But it was the same system, just based on the SELLER account creation date (the BUYER account creation date was insignificant, back then). Hope this helps.
