open HK company/HK bank account for paypal, then just a standard ebay account, or if you have an exisitng paypal account from your own country just use that and open an ebay account as normal, but put the item location down as china/hk

Sleepy, so you didn't list anything in the first 6 months?

No No, Hong Kong Ebay is pretty cool about selling limits, open the account first and list some normal items ie socks, coins, stamps and stuff that you can sent with the first 10 item listed. and once those are completed sold or unsold call ebay hong kong and talk to them nicely, and ask them to increase your list limits. i called with in the first month after the account was at its limit and told them i am trying to put more items online and they gave me 100 limit right away, and the lady said if that is not enough call back in a month with good selling records and you can move up to 200 a month.

i think there's a certain bias towards HK accounts cause the ebay asia HQ is located in HK. my sg account after 6 mnths , can sell only 12 items per mnth

I spoke to eB China in Shanghai today. For those who have not spoken to eB UK & US i will tell you that eB .cn an .hk seem to operate differently without as much smoke and mirrors.

After i explained my situation and my requirements i asked if they would see me in person at there offices to evaluate the situation. They said this was possible and Im considering going if i cant get it resolved remotely.

Anyone been before?

Thanks

My experience about selling limit is depending on what you're selling and how fast you're selling. For many many sellers in HK which they sell electronic items, that is a high risk item for eBay. If you have a new account, I believe you can only list 5 items in a month in the beginning. To increase the limit, you can call them and ask them to rise. There's no guarantee you can increase it immediately. They will ask what you sell, how much you sell, and things about your operation.

I don't really think they would let you to their office as many angry sellers are trying burn the office down. I have visited their office few times before cause my account was big and they wanted to help me to grow bigger so they can make more money. To be invited, you must have an account manager. To have an account manager, right now you must reach monthly selling around US$50,000.

The only way you can get to "know" them is to join their seminars which they hold few times a year. If you want to call them or have they to call you about selling limit, be ready to have your ID, billing statement ready. This is just in case they will ask you for it to verify who you are.

Forget about that.Buy an US account in market place and use it with 海外仓储.No other way will work from china using USA account now. They check the tracking code after you sold items if it comes from china they suspend it very fast.
