Default Paypal what a waste!

Paypal is such a waste . websites should dump them as a payment method. I sold 1 item for 10.00 and they are holding it for 21 days? wtf. No wonder websites are getting bad publicity..!

Is it a new account? The sooner you ship your items, the sooner your customer gets the product therefore releasing your funds sooner. Just because it says 21 days doesn't mean it will always literally take that many days.

From my own experience, I've only had the 21 day holds up to the 3 month mark then no holds. That's speaking for myself but I am sure it's not the same for everyone.

You might want to look at other options, I'm sure others can chime in on your alternatives.

It is really about keeping the buyer safe and the seller in hot waters.

Just like mm78 said the sooner you ship and receive feedback the quicker your funds will be released.

10 is nothing. I let them hold hundreds for each payment.

If you sold something for that low price I would guess you can ship it 1st class mail. I usually can withdraw the money within 1 week of confirmed shipped.

I understand but what i'm saying is 10.00?what a joke i can see if it was a hundreds !I can then lift the limit of 500 per month. But after a couple of sales they will limit the account as usual and as for all personal information. Even without problems. It has happened before. I see it as a never ending problem. need anew processor. Maybe my own...

If you want to use their service, you'll have to bite your toughe and abide with their rules. This is the unfortunate reality, sadly.

$10, $100, $1,000...It doesn't matter. They will hold your funds no matter what. I was patient for 3 months with 21 day holds and it's paid off, I don't have holds anymore "knock on wood". Even now that I have no holds I still ship all my items Priority Mail, just to make sure people can't complaint about shipping times.

Just go back to amazon then

Live with it and can the moaning.

You never manage to contribute anything but a few lines of whining.

Always trying to moan for attention. Is it deliberate?

paypal has been applying holds in different ways more and more for the past 2years.

Wait until you get a rolling reserve on your funds.

Then you might have better reason to carp.

for 11 months i have shipped everything with tracking

two ste alth accounts...100% fb about 140-150 fb's each(25-30% leave fb)

they still hold 21 days even when fb is left,,its like clockwork

i do not sell high risk items

i have never had any issues with customers,eb ay, or pay pal

i just hang in there and hope for the best but dammmmmm

i'm not calling them..i'm not messaging them about anything

i still get to sell and i still get my money in 21 days

am i happy with that? yup, even tho i wish i could change it,,,,,,,,,but i can't,(yet) so i just peck away and live with it.

All the new rules have made it difficult for most new people opening new accounts

good luck

I have accounts over year old that have had 21 day holds since first sale. Eventually everyday funds are released so it all ends up the same. The 21 day holds hit you harder if your in dire need for the funds. Then I would suggest other venues without holds. However if your in it for the long run then the 21 day holds do not mean much after 1-2 months.
