That would depend on what the payment was for and who and where it was from.

As I said it depends on what the item actually is and where/who the payment is from and also the method of payment.

In other words you won't know what p/p will do until the payment hits your account or having done so you try to withdraw it and they decide if there is any risk involved with the whole transaction.

If it's a physical item I do suggest adding a tracking number and wait till the item arrives to the buyer. After the item arrives to the buyer I would wait maybe 3 to 4 days after to withdraw those funds. I don't know how UK paypal works but for myself I always wait 2 to 3 days after all my funds clear, but that's through Ebay sales.

Paypal's system is more or less random. There are certain things that will cause Paypal to limit your account immediately, but as long as you do not do those things (aka have common sense) then it's mostly a game of luck regarding whether you will get a call from Paypal asking you to verify a recent transaction or not.

I say go for it. Once you start playing the game with Paypal, it doesn't pay to be unnecessarily careful as long as you use common sense.
