You can, but there's a 99% chance it will get suspended.

It is possible, but email adress of Ebay and Paypal should be same. Reason is that it should allow you direct paypal payments at Ebay by checking out.

paypal gets funny about this after awhile. its just like how paypal wants your bank info to match the paypal info for withdrawals. they want the ebay info to match as well

I'm not sure this is true.

I couldn't have the same email for EB and PP because EB has this stupid, really-can't-see-any-reason-for-it rule that your email address (on EB) cannot be the same as your user ID.

So for e.g. if my EB user ID was Bubbletea. I cannot input my address as bubbletea@gmail.com The system would not accept it.
So I just pulled out one of my other email addresses for EB and linked it to a PP with the address bubbletea@gmail.com (example).

I had this account for years and sold on it for one year. No issue with this at all.

The EB system should be set-up to allow direct PP payments when you linked the PP to it already.
Isn't that the whole point of why they want you to link the PP??

No - the eb and pp email must be the same registered e-mail...as for your USER ID issue, you're correct.

Well, I didn't use the same email and they never said anything about that.
Not sure if I lose brownie points on their side though.
I guess it's always good to have everything the same though.
But they do allow you to link a PP with another email... so it can be done.

I have several emails on main eBay and PP (acc is 7 y.o.) and my eBay has 2 PP attached (both in my name but 2 different countries) and still running. But you can only attach 1 PP at time.

if you have already eBay just make PP with same info, and for PP you already have make another eBay with matching info, I would not recommend to use different names for PP and EB. THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY TO DO IT RIGHT !!! Take time read forum and think.

Sometimes it's good to make mistake, if you will not give up after it.

I think you can. I did have 2 PP before in 2 different names working for 3 years until I got suspended for different reason. What I did was I called PP first before I added another PP to my EB. I told them that one was my partner's PP. It's all good but I am not sure if this will be a bit risky for new EB account usage.

I have been selling with one ebay acct and another paypal from a friend for year now, so far so good. I do have high DSR and I ship within 24 hrs most of the time, and that has removed any issues with money holding....
