Default Multiple Merchant accounts used on one site

So I need to handle multiple vendors, each having their own merchant accounts. When users buy stuff from them I want to have them just pay directly to the vendor as I dont want to deal with their clients payments.

I dont know how to handle (failed transactions, refunds, etc).
Will this be possible with paypal? google checkout?

Or is the only to go is to have them funnel the money through me and then I'll pay each vendor on a certain day?

Thanks!

Well, I haven't uploaded my website yet since this part is essential and im trying to nail down this functionality asap.
It's almost like eventbrite exactly. I have organizers who creates their own events and they have their customers who come to the site and buy tickets for such events. EventBrite, it seems, handles the payments and gives the money to the vendors after they take out their fees. I want the money to go straight to organizers instead of me.
Hope that helps!
Thanks!

Ah I see - clearer now...google chec kout would be fine or any other processor with low fees. You don't need PP for this...I would not use PP unless I absolutely HAD to.

yeah that was my first option as well. but it seems that you have to have 1 unique merchant key with a merchant id to be provided to you for this to work. i doubt an organizer would give that to me if they know what they're doing. so i thought why not paypal, it'll be easier to apply for an account and then just provide me with a "confirmed" email.
thoughts?

I use 3 different Merchant accounts on my 1 one website.

I have a 1250.00 a week limit on 2, and a 7K monthly limit on the 3rd.

Each has a different ID and Key, I just enable which method I want used at a time.

1st Merchant Account I enable and use until the 1250.00 is used for the week

2nd Merchant Account i enable and use until the 1250.00 is used for the week

3rd Merchant account I use until the next week and I start over with Merchant account 1 and 2.

Similar method I use for eBay, one solid merchant account with multiple Authorize.nets over several account, for those that bitch I allow them to pay Paypal. If any account goes down, simply close the a.net and open another while protecting the merchant account.
