Default Making your EBAY listings Private - can lead to suspension

I seem to have bad luck listing private auctions (where the item description doesnt show up after in the feedback) on established accounts. I've listed the same items, about 8 per day on each account, on non-private auctions and the accounts are fine. When I list 8 per day as private auctions, the account gets whacked.

Anyone experienced this? I'm thinking they're reviewing the private auction accounts more strictly than the others.

I list all my items as private, whether it be a Vero item or not. No problems at all.

No such thing as "not a smart question"...all here to learn a thing or two
When listing your item (s) , you have the option of listing as private...usernames will not be displayed on bids but you will see odd usernames ex: a***0 then a***1

HI:
Yes, have had same situation..
I believe that Ebay is "assuming" that you are Hiding something . so therefore the listing comes under scrutiny.. and if its a brand name--they just take it down..

I think as long as your selling the same type of items there won't be as many problems with private listings..

I also wait 30 days before I start doing privates..

I think when you try to drive your prices up by getting a bunch of cheap fb with private auctions..

I think I found out what was wrong. The account had a balance of about $200 past due (nearing the 2nd invoice date) and I listed about 20 (non-VERO) items to make some money quickly and pay off the balance through my PayPal account. Then I got suspended for "violating the spirit of eBay".
