I'm a small fish so I just use an excel spreadsheet to track all my profits and expenses related to those items. Not sure what the big time sellers use.

Quickbooks! Imports directly from PayPal, then your manually enter your stock as it comes in, expenses, etc. Voila P/L, taxes, income statement, everything you need.

I do my excel sheets based on each order I place. Here is a screenshot of what mine looks like.

try this
inFlow Inventory Software | Inventory System

very nice all-in-one software, including stock control, profit, cost, invoice.
from purchase order to sale orde.
and it has a free version which supports up to 100 type (product, supplier, customer) and unlimited sales order/purchaser order.

free version good for those small business that don't have a large variety. or upgrade to regular.

i'm using it, pretty good, only thing that is not so good is it does not help you track down ebay/pp fees and delivery cost.

Awesome spreadsheet.

She must have the formulas working so you will need to make sure you do not
clear off her numbers and wipe off her formulas for each cell area.

Well the Ebay and Paypal fee's are not formula based, I use eBay Fees Calculator 8.2 by Ryan Olbe (updated July 12, 2011) to calculate those. The rest are pretty basic formulas.

That is ok because you can add the formula if you knew how and had the time.

Is there a way to add Ebay/PP fee to the program?

Not quite sure, been using this program for a while but still did not figure this out.
but i usually keep track of my paid in and paid out separately, all other fees eg packing material, shipping cost, pp/eb fee, and other expense related to my sales are tracked on an excel sheet

this way i can work out the profit for the whole month.
