Default Help wanted re a mistake

I am a relative new ebayer and have tried to abide by the rules. I didnt realise (probably makes me stupid) but didnt realise you cant use other peoples photos. I had a listing with 4 of my own pics and one of someone elses. When I realised my mistake I deleted the picture straight away and now only my four are remaining on my listing. The person in question mentioned that they saw I had taken there photo but now removed it.

My question is this. This was a genuine mistake (ok a foolish one) will I get a policy violation. If the seller decides to report me will ebay be able to get the picture back that I have deleted for proof. And will making this mistake once be enough for my account to be closed down or will I get a warning. Really worried about this, as it was really a genuine mistake on my part.

Is there a chance that because I deleted in once I realised my mistake they wont say anything. This was yesterday and not had any problems yet and I would have thought if they were going to report me they would have done it at the time.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. All the best.

You are working on a premise of "Maybes". You might be ok - I would have to say to 1) don't repeat 2) stop using other people's photos 3) wait a while to see if any action comes out as result.

If they did not report, your chance is ok. If they did...only time will tell.

thanks for the welcome.

Would I get a warning, or do they get rid of you that easily. Been doing a bit of web research today and it looks like you get a warning first in the form of a violation thing, do you think thats standard practise.

Thanks.
