Default seller says he is blocked from messaging me?

Hi
does this make sense to anybody?

I bought one item from this seller the other day. Then he emailed me and said if i want to buy more. I said yes. Then he listed another one. Then I bought it right away. Then he listed one more, i bought it right away. one more, i bought it right away.

We also exchanged a lot of messages, maybe 40.

Now seller texted me, saying he has more items but when he tried to contact me through ebay, ebay said he is blocked from messaging me. is this something that ebay does, or do you smell a scam here?

But you have his email address - why go through Ebay?

It doesn't look good if everytime he lists you buy it does it?

40 messages is quite substantial & repeat buying in such a short time that many times could look suspicious to EB ???

Sounds like he is trying to go outside of ebay. Very suspicious to say the least. Why cant he just post mass them in multiple quantities?

He is trying to get away without paying eb fees.

Could be a trick.

I would not do it myself.

Way too odd and too many for me to trust this one.

stinky and not favorable, these transactions really do seem way weird, As cjmixers said, Why won't the seller just put up mass amounts of the item...unless the seller is selling Vero items.

Which comes down to the question of the advisability of doing business with a 'flagged' seller

You are only allowed to send a maximum amount of messages a day through ebay.

I would only comply with such a request if it were cash on collection and I were being offered some money off, since he is saving on the fees and can therefore pass the savings on to me. If it is an item being delivered to you, then do not do it as all your buyer protection will be gone.

Just tell him to continue to set up the items via eBay, and there shouldn't be any issues, right?

If you already have done transactions with him, I would go ahead and do it through the invoice system of Paypal. He only has to pay the 3% juice instead of the Paypal fees also so ask him for a small discount on your purchase and go on with your transactions but just tread a little carefully until you guys build a good enough relationship. I've done tons and tons of transaction outside of eBay with repeat customers. if saves on fees and if your account was newer you don't get the normal 21 day holds on Paypal invoices.

I have done plenty of transactions with buyers outside of ebay. I even ask them to send the payment as personal so paypal doesn't charge me. I've had no problems. As long as there's trust between you two, go for it.
